Sowore Detention: Court fixes August 8 for hearing

The Federal High Court Abuja has fixed tomorrow August 8 to decide on the application filed by the Department of State Services (DSS) seeking an order to detain African Action Congress (AAC) leader and convener of RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore for 90 days while investigations go on.
The ex-parte motion by the DSS seeks for the order of the court to ensure Sowore is lawfully detained beyond the 48 hours of his arrest.
Reacting to application filed by counsel for the DSS, G. O. Abadua, Justice Taiwo Taiwo said he needed time to see the video clips attached to the motion.
Taiwo adjourned ruling on the application to August 8, 2019.
