NASS inducts 365 newly recruited staff

The National Assembly management on Monday commenced induction course for all the 365 newly recruited staffer in Abuja.
Speaking at the venue, the Clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji Muhammed Sani Omolori tasked the newly employees to be creativity and dedicated to their duties. Omolori said, the newly recruited staffers are carefully selected to come and work in the legislative arm adding that National Assembly has rules which every one must be conversant with.
He urged them to work with sincere mindset and be vast in their dealings, “National Assembly jobs require lots of concentration and hardwork.
“You have to be mindful of your words and aim to be successful in all you do.” Omolori adviced.
The Clerk stated that this inductions is to expose the new staff to the ethics and rules of the civil service as well as setting agenda for legislative processes. Earlier, the Secretary, Human Resources in National Assembly, Alhaji Muhammed Umar called on the new staff to pay attention to every detail from the training, saying the essence of the programme would be defeated if at the end of the day, nothing was achieved.
Also speaking , Secretary, National Assembly Service Commission, Mr. Olusanya Ajakaiye called for discipline among the newly recruited staff. He said the induction is very timely in the sense that, the newly recruited staffers have the right to be acquitted with the rules and workings of the organization when assume duties .
In his message, the Chief Executive Officer, Kapital Communications, Mr. Kabir Badamasuiy, pointed out that categories of staff in the induction cut across Administrations and General duties, Legislative and Legal Officers, Medical, Information/Research and Library, Sergent At Arms and Technical are from grade level 04 to 06, in the junior cadre and grade level 08 to 12 in the senior cadre.
Badamasuiy urged the newly employees to be attentive in the course of trainings adding that the two weeks will further tailored the capacity to work and understand the parliamentary functions and Committee work.
At the induction programme are, the Secretary, National Assembly Service Commission, Mr. Olusanya Ajakaiye, Clerk of the House of Representatives, Patrick Giwa, Secretary, Human Resources, Alhaji Muhammed Umar, Secretary, Procurement, Amos Ojo, Legal Service, Alhaji Balau Balani, Director Public Affairs, Yahaya Danzaria, Barrister Abayomi Oyebola, Alhaji Bala Yabani among others.
