Baring any force majeure, the federal parliament will be winding down today, June 6, 2019 to bring to a close, the life of an era. It will be recalled that the outgoing National Assembly came into being on 6th June, 2015 is expected to be replaced by a new Assembly on 11th June, 2019.
The event will be marked with valedictory sessions in each of the Chambers that is, the Senate and the House of Representatives. It will recalled that the emergence of the outgoing assembly has since the nation’s return to civilian rule, remained the most dramatic in its leadership composition and intercourse with the executive branch.
